Arrival : Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by one of our dedicated Savannah Quest meet and greet specialists. After breakfast, we get right on the road back towards the Ngorongoro Crater National Park. Our drive takes us back through the Serengeti via a different route, offering plenty of opportunities to spot the animals that eluded you on day two. As far as the eye can see, you’ll spot thousands upon thousands of animals in herds; wildebeests and zebras mi- grating together, tall and graceful giraffes, jumping antelopes and gazelles, the powerful African elephant and the most respected group of animals: the predators.
You will have the chance to spot lean cheetahs and shy leopards, foraging hyenas, and last but not least, the king him- self; the lion.
Your ascend will start once you are done with your game final game drive at continue your journey back to arusha town. An exhausting day it will be as your safari get it climax.

Kilimanjaro Airport -> Arusha
After an hour’s drive from Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will arrive at Hamerkop House. This beautiful private house is managed exclusively by Lemala Camps and Lodges and its located on a wildlife and golf estate, Kiligolf, situ- ated halfway between Kilimanjaro International Airport and Arusha. Its a great place to start your Tanzanian adven- ture. Access to Tanzania’s only championship golf course means guests can enjoy a relaxing and incredibly scenic round under the shadow of both Mount Meru and Kilimanjaro. And not to forget many more activities withing the fa- cilities like horse riding, polo and others.

Arusha -> Tarangire National Park -> Nomad Kuro
After the first sunrise in Tanzania, you will have your breakfast and a small briefing from your tour guide will take place. Departing from Arusha City, you will drive west of Arusha for approximately 2 hours until you started your first game drive in Tarangire National Park.
Once you’ve entered Tarangire, you’ll begin your game drive across a rich vista of endless golden savannah that sur- rounds the Tarangire River. The river itself runs throughout the year and is a vital source of water for the animals of the region during the dry season. You’ll have the opportunity to see lions, leopards, cape buffalo, and a huge variety of an- telopes. If you’re particularly lucky, you might even see endangered animals such as the Greater Kudu or the Fringe-Eared Oryx.
A picnic lunch with a view of the river is a great way to take it all in, but you’ll have to keep on your toes as the local monkey population does its best to separate you from your lunch!
Set along the banks of the Tarangire River, Kuro provides a great vantage point to observe the local wildlife, as it passes through the park from the hills in the west to the swamps in the east. You can also watch as the animals negotiate the river line, running from north to south. There are loads of amazing views here!
After your day’s drive is done, you’ll retire at lemala Mpingo for the evening where a warm welcome awaits, fine dining and a bonfire to tell the tells of the African bush.
Tarangire National Park
Tarangire has its beauty that not many see. Some call it the small Serengeti, its idle for an introduction to a classic safari. The close encounters with the park’s large elephants, the iconic Baobab trees also known as upside down tree and the diversity of wildlife make it one of the best parks in the country for taking breath-taking photos or simply basking in the beauty of the world’s largest land mammals.
On this day your tour guide will be flexible with your itinerary. Get up early or have a sleep in and enjoy the wildlife around your camp, set off with a picnic lunch and spend all day out on a game drive or choose to return for a hot lunch at your camp.
After your Day activities you will return to your chosen accommodation for the night.

Tarangire National Park -> Manyara National Park -> The Retreat
You’ll depart from Tarangire after breakfast for the approximately three-hour drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Along the way you’ll pass bustling Masai villages and the vast, open plains that have become synonymous with images of Africa. You’ll enter Lake Manyara National Park. The park is truly a photographer’s playground and offers some of the best game viewing in the world. You can expect to see many of Africa’s most well-known animals, with the tree-climb- ing lions a particular treat. These proud predators lounge in acacia trees practically begging to be photographed.
Birdwatchers will find Lake Manyara is an absolute delight, with a huge variety of birds on display in the park. Even the novice can expect to be amazed by large flamingo flocks, circling birds of prey, and the brightly coloured lilac breasted roller.
After your day’s drive is done, you’ll retire to your accommodation for the evening.

We’ll take an early breakfast, as we’ve got a big day of exploration and adventure ahead of us!
We’ll begin the day with the scenic drive towards the Serengeti. Along the way we’ll pass through the mist-shrouded rainforests of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where you might be lucky enough to glimpse cape buffalo, baboons, or even elephants and leopards in the dense undergrowth.
It’s a nearly four hour drive to the Serengeti park gates, but you will pass by one of our favorite stops of this itinerary, Olduvai Gorge Museum. Sometimes known as the Cradle of Mankind, the Olduvai Gorge Museum commemorates some of the oldest evidence of human habitation ever found. Here you can see some of the oldest fossil evidence in the world of human habitation.
From Olduvai Gorge Museum its then a quick drive to Nabi Gate (entry to Serengeti). Here you can have your lunch with your guide as he briefs.

Today you can stay in and enjoy your morning at the camp. A delicious breakfast awaits for you when you’re ready. You will then proceed for an afternoon game drive with your picnic basket.
After your unforgettable morning, you’ll return to your lodge for a late breakfast and to freshen up before hitting the road again with a picnic lunch along the way. Your driver will select the best possible route based upon the time of year and the kind of animals you’d like to see, catering your day so that your opportunities to see the Serengeti’s di- verse wildlife are maximal.
Serengeti
With an early wake up call, toady is another exciting day yet to be witnessed. Explore the Serengeti from above with a hot air balloon safari viewing the majestic savannah of the Serengeti as the sunsrise set fire to the skies. Its an hour flight so be prepared to fest your eyes with one of the best game protect areas in the world. The early morning birding charping and the heard of elephants, pools of hippos and the grazing wilderbeest are at sight. It a remarkable experi- ence and surely not to be missed. A champagne breakfast awaits you when you land.
After your breakfast, you will head back to your hotel and easy your afternoon. An evening game drive will be arrange as per your request but it will be worth your while for the evening sunset drives. as it is your last night in the serengeti, your driver will pick a route designed to ensure you have the best possible chances for an entertaining evening drive and head back to your hotel again for the night.

Ngorongoro crater -> Arusha
After breakfast, you’ll depart for Ngorongoro Crater, considered by some to be the Eighth Wonder of the World. When you get your first glimpse of this vast, verdant caldera from the panoramic viewpoint, you’ll soon understand why it has earned such a lofty reputation.
Home to over 120 species of mammals including the fabled Big Five, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is one of the most sought after safari destinations in the world. It’s a particularly good place to see the endangered black rhinocer- os enjoying a lonely meal out on the grass plains, as well as a place to see large numbers of hippopotamus enjoying the cool water.
From the comfort of your open-top vehicle, you’ll be able to observe and photograph some of Africa’s most recogniz- able faces. The crater is home to a large number of predators including lions, leopards, cheetahs, jackals, and hyenas, as well as a large population of wildebeest, zebras, antelope, cape buffalo, and more. It is truly one of Africa’s premier safari destinations.
After the thrills and excitement of the day, you will have a picnic lunch by the park’s famous hippo pool. Thereafter, you will drive back to Arusha.

Booking Your Reservation
Your booking request must be made in writing and a deposit of 30% is due at the time of booking to reserve your tour and accommodation with Savannah Quest. This deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable.
An invoice will be sent upon making the reservation and the full payment is due 90 days prior to the start date of your trip. If your booking request is within 90 days of the trip start date, the full payment is due 72 hours after booking to ensure reservations with lodges and camps. Currently only wire transfer to our account at Barclays are accepted.
*All payments should be free from bank charges – the client is responsible for the additional costs imposed by the bank transfer company.
Notification of cancellation must be made in writing to Savannah Quest. At the time we receive the cancellation, all money will be refunded with the following cancellation charges, deducted from the total price:
21 to 30 days or more before departure: Cancellation fees equal the amount of your deposit (30%) 12 to 20 days before departure: 85% of the package price is non-refundable
0 to 11 days before departure: 100% of the package price is non-refundable
Reservations with accommodation, activities, and flights have a strict loss of deposit policies that may force us to deduct any amount retained by them. You may also be responsible for any fees imposed by hotels, airlines etc., that are over and above your deposit amount, due to the cancellation of your original date booking.
Please note that no partial refunds will be given for unused meals, hotel rooms, airport transfers etc., for any reason whatsoever. Savannah Quest Safaris reserves the right to increase the tour price in the event of cost increases due to changes in airfares, currency fluctuations, park fee increases, fuel surcharges, taxes, etc. Savannah Quest Safaris re- serves the right to alter the tour without notice and accommodations are subject to change.
Savannah Quest Safaris is not responsible for expenses incurred by trip members in preparing for the trip (e.g. visa fees, immunizations, insurance, equipment, etc.) or for any necessary additional travel arrangements should you embark from home before the group departure date.
If there is a change to the reservation (postponement, reduced length of stay, reduced number of clients) the deposit will be applied to the new itinerary, if changes occur 90 days prior to the start of the tour date.
Savannah Quest Safaris highly recommends clients to purchase full coverage travel/trip insurance through third party companies. In the case that your tour must be canceled, we encourage you to use an insurance company to cover your cancellation fees.
