Itinerary Details

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you Guide/Driver will be waiting for by the arrival terminal; ready to introduce himself, brief you about your destination and help you with your languages. A comfortable air-conditioned vehicle will be there to transfer you straight to your luxury hotel.

Kilimanjaro International Airport → Like Duluti Lodge 

After an hour’s drive from Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will arrive at Lake Duluti Lodge. A contemporary African styled romantic chalet ideally positioned for maximum privacy and view inside a thirty-acre active coffee farm located in a safe and exclusive area on the outskirts of Arusha.  

The lodge has been designed in a way that you will feel like you are staying at home rather than at a top-end hotel. Lake Duluti Lodge prides itself on its finest cuisine, first class exclusivity, five star personalized excellent services, top class amenities and the ecofriendly architecture and operations.

Arusha Airport → Kogatende Airstrip → Asilia Sayari

On this day you will wake to the view of Mt Meru the second highest mountain in Tanzania, 5th highest on the continent. You will have your breakfast at the most preferable location to start you morning with some excitement and by 9am you will head to Arusha airport for your flight to Seronera, Central Serengeti National Park.

On your way to Arusha airport, you will briefly pass through Arusha town. Enjoy a cup of coffee or tea this morning on your 40-minute drive past coffee farms. Once you arrive you will be escorted to the checking in area, and you will board your flight shortly.

On arrival at Kogatende airstrip you will meet your guide and enjoy a scenic drive through the rolling plains of the Serengeti. On arrival in camp, settle into life at the Serengeti plains and watch the wildlife passing by from the stylish main area in camp. In the afternoon, begin your exploration of this

exclusivecorner of the famous National Park on an afternoon game drive, stopping for sundowners with a picnic basket at a viewpoint and watch the life of the endless plains.

Back in camp, enjoy a delicious three-course meal and listen to the sounds of the night as they unfold around you.

Additional notes:

This is your first day on safari, so we ask that you please pay special attention to the national park’s visitor rules and our company recommendations:

  • During the safari it is strictly prohibited to exit the vehicle, except for in specially designated areas. Violations of this rule may be accompanied by large fines for the company, including the revocation of its license.
  • Off road driving is also prohibited, as such behavior may cause irreparable damage to the fragile balance of the natural ecosystem.
  • During the safari you are allowed to smoke but, be extremely careful about how you extinguish and dispose of cigarette butts, as they are a frequent cause of fires in the savanna.
  • In addition, we sincerely request that you not put your feet on the safari car’s seats, nor sit on the back of them, because this type of behavior quickly makes the cars unusable.

Sayari is set on the untouched plains of the northern Serengeti. This stylish camp is perfectly located near the famous Great Migration route and several crossing points along the Mara River, where sightings of the herds plunging into the water are frequent and spectacular.

And so, on this day, an early morning game drive will be necessary, as you want to watch the game when its active before they rest in the afternoon. Best chances to witness a lion hunt, the early morning game drives bring out the best of Serengeti. From the morning dew on the grass that brings out the freshness of the air to the sun rise for better photography, it’s something to experience. Toured by expert guides they know the grassy plains, kopjes and acacia woodland like the back of their hands. Search for some of the resident cats but don’t forget the other species too, from giraffe and hippo to wildebeest and buffalo, as well as plentiful birdlife. You will return to camp during the heat of the day to relax by the pool or have a massage to revive you for the afternoon’s activities.

Kogatende → Serengeti Bliss

We’ll start our day immediately after breakfast, driving through the plains of Togoro and the Mbuzi Mawe kopjes on our way to cross the Banagi River into the Seronera region of the Central Serengeti.

Along the way, you’ll spot everything from the enigmatic dik-diks to towering elephants, and everything in between.

The Seronera is often known as ‘big cat country’, and its kopjes and acacias provide an excellent opportunity to spot the many prides of lazy lions, sleek cheetahs out on the hunt, and leopards overseeing everything from their lofty perches.

Serengeti bliss is a luxury camp that is suitable for luxury type of travelers, centrally positioned in the endless plain of Serengeti close to Orangi river. It is the best point for hippo, and in a very good game viewing position.

Serengeti Bliss → Lions paw

After breakfast, we get right on the road back towards the Ngorongoro Crater National Park.

Our drive takes us through the Serengeti, offering plenty more opportunities to spot the other wildlife. As far as the eye can see, you’ll spot thousands upon thousands of animals in herds; wildebeests and zebras migrating together, tall and graceful giraffes, jumping antelopes and gazelles, the powerful African elephant and the most respected group of animals: the predators.

You will have the chance to spot lean cheetahs and shy leopards, foraging hyenas, and last but not least, the king himself, the lion.

On your you will Pay a visit to one of the famous Maasai bomas, where you’ll have the opportunity to witness (and participate in) traditional Maasai dance, tour an authentic Maasai village, and even do a little souvenir shopping at their local market.

And finally you will spend your night at Unique property is located on the Eastern Rim of the Ngorongoro Crater which is the largest intact volcanic caldera, Lions paw. The luxury Camp offers authentic experience without sacrificing the warmth and comforts of home. Merely 10 minutes from the Crater floor, it is ideal for those wanting to experience the quiet beauty of the Crater before the crowds descend.

We will overnight and enjoy the facilities of the camp after this long day.

Ngorongoro → Manyara Secret

After breakfast, you’ll depart for Ngorongoro Crater; considered by some to be the Eighth Wonder of the World. When you get your first glimpse of this vast, verdant caldera from the panoramic viewpoint, you’ll soon understand why it has earned such a lofty reputation.

Home to over 120 species of mammal including the fabled Big Five, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is one of the most sought-after safari destinations in the world. It’s a particularly good place to see the endangered black rhinoceros enjoying a lonely meal out on the grass plains, as well as a place to see large numbers of hippopotamus enjoying the cool water.

From the comfort of your open-top vehicle, you’ll be able to observe and photograph some of Africa’s most recognizable faces. The crater is home to a large number of predators including lions, leopards, cheetahs, jackals, and hyenas, as well as a large population of wildebeest, zebras, antelope, cape buffalo, and more. It is truly one of Africa’s premier safari destinations.

Manyara Secret → Tarangire → Arusha

And on your final adventure of your safari, 30 minutes away is one of the great parks in Tanzania, Tarangire. A park that rivals the Serengeti in its great number and diversity of wildlife. It is an Excellent choice for travellers who wish to encounter more animals and less tourists while on safari. It is know for its great number of elephants and so this day will be an exciting one.

You will leave Manyara secret and head to Tarangire National Park. Once at the gate you’ll begin your game drive across a rich vista of endless golden savannah that surrounds the Tarangire River. Lined also with acacia and the massive Baobab trees, lions and other predators are frequently spotted and Its marshes, which dry out into verdant grassy fields during the dry season, draw great herds of elephant, buffalo, antelope and other plains game.

At midday a picnic lunch with a view of the river is a great way to take it all in, but you’ll have to keep on your toes as the local monkey population does its best to separate you from your lunch!

An enroute game drive after as you head out will be your final goodbye to your safari and on your way to Arusha city to your accommodation.

Depending on your flight schedule, it will be the last day of our acquaintances where we will drive you back to the international airport and bid farewell to your journey back.

Necessary Items

The greater part of your trip you will be spent sitting, so your clothes should be comfortable and made from soft, natural fabrics with as little elastics, laces, belts or decorations (like huge buttons) as possible. Take into consideration that to see certain animals you will have to start your day early in the morning, and it may be cold outside, so you should not forget to pack some warm clothes. For example, in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area before and after sunset the temperature can fall to 0°C.

Booking Your Reservation

Your booking request must be made in writing and a deposit of 30% is due at the time of booking to reserve your tour and accommodation with Savannah Quest. This deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable.

An invoice will be sent upon making the reservation and the full payment is due 90 days prior to the start date of your trip. If your booking request is within 90 days of the trip start date, the full payment is due 72 hours after booking to ensure reservations with lodges and camps. Currently only wire transfer to our account at Barclays are accepted.

*All payments should be free from bank charges – the client is responsible for the additional costs imposed by the bank transfer company.

Notification of cancellation must be made in writing to Savannah Quest. At the time we receive the cancellation, all money will be refunded with the following cancellation charges, deducted from the total price:

21 to 30 days or more before departure: Cancellation fees equal the amount of your deposit (30%) 12 to 20 days before departure: 85% of the package price is non-refundable

0 to 11 days before departure: 100% of the package price is non-refundable

Reservations with accommodation, activities, and flights have a strict loss of deposit policies that may force us to deduct any amount retained by them. You may also be responsible for any fees imposed by hotels, airlines etc., that are over and above your deposit amount, due to the cancellation of your original date booking.

Please note that no partial refunds will be given for unused meals, hotel rooms, airport transfers etc., for any reason whatsoever. Savannah Quest Safaris reserves the right to increase the tour price in the event of cost increases due to changes in airfares, currency fluctuations, park fee increases, fuel surcharges, taxes, etc. Savannah Quest Safaris re- serves the right to alter the tour without notice and accommodations are subject to change.

Savannah Quest Safaris is not responsible for expenses incurred by trip members in preparing for the trip (e.g. visa fees, immunizations, insurance, equipment, etc.) or for any necessary additional travel arrangements should you embark from home before the group departure date.

If there is a change to the reservation (postponement, reduced length of stay, reduced number of clients) the deposit will be applied to the new itinerary, if changes occur 90 days prior to the start of the tour date.

Savannah Quest Safaris highly recommends clients to purchase full coverage travel/trip insurance through third party companies. In the case that your tour must be canceled, we encourage you to use an insurance company to cover your cancellation fees.
